Internet & Voice Services Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all internet and voice services provided by JCR Computers and form part of the general Terms and Conditions available on our website.

1. Service Nature

Internet and telecommunications services are provided on a best effort basis. JCR Computers does not guarantee that services will be uninterrupted, error free, or fault free at all times.

Service speeds, latency, and performance may vary due to network conditions, infrastructure limitations, and factors outside of our control.

2. Third Party Infrastructure

The Customer acknowledges that internet and voice services rely on third party carrier infrastructure, including but not limited to NBN Co and other upstream providers.

JCR Computers does not own or control this infrastructure and is not responsible for faults, outages, delays, or performance issues caused by third party networks.

3. Faults and Outages

In the event of a fault or outage, JCR Computers will make reasonable efforts to investigate and escalate the issue to the relevant upstream provider.

Resolution timeframes are dependent on the upstream provider and are outside of JCR Computers’ control.

JCR Computers does not guarantee fault resolution within any specific timeframe.

4. Service Availability

JCR Computers does not guarantee continuous or uninterrupted service availability.

Scheduled maintenance, emergency works, and network upgrades may result in temporary service interruptions.

5. Service Levels

JCR Computers will use reasonable efforts to ensure services are provisioned and supported in a timely manner.

Support is provided during standard business hours unless otherwise agreed.

Any response or restoration targets are provided as a guide only and do not constitute a guaranteed service level.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JCR Computers is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, internet or voice services.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Loss of business
  • Loss of revenue
  • Loss of profits
  • Loss of data
  • Business interruption
  • Any indirect or consequential loss

7. Service Credits

Service credits or compensation are not automatically applied for outages or service interruptions.

Where applicable, any service credits are limited to those provided by upstream suppliers and are subject to their assessment and approval.

JCR Computers does not guarantee that any credits will be issued.

8. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that their internal network, equipment, and devices are properly configured and maintained.

Where continuous connectivity is critical to business operations, the Customer is responsible for implementing appropriate redundancy solutions, such as backup internet or failover services.

JCR Computers is not liable for any loss resulting from the Customer’s failure to implement redundancy or business continuity measures.

9. Voice Services and Emergency Calling

Voice services provided over internet connections are dependent on power, internet connectivity, and third party networks.

The Customer acknowledges that:

  • Voice services may not function during power outages
  • Voice services may not function during internet outages
  • Call quality may be affected by network performance

Emergency calls may not always provide accurate location information.

The Customer is responsible for ensuring alternative means of communication are available for emergency situations.

10. Acceptable Use

The Customer must not use internet or voice services for any unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent activity.

JCR Computers reserves the right to suspend or terminate services where misuse is detected.

11. Changes to Services

JCR Computers may modify, upgrade, or change services where required due to changes in upstream providers, technology, or regulatory requirements.

Reasonable notice will be provided where possible.

12. Agreement

By using JCR Computers internet or voice services, the Customer agrees to these terms in addition to the general Terms and Conditions.
